I made this Back-to-School printable pack as a fun little activity package for those first days of school when kids are just getting to know each other. This package used to sell well in my old Etsy shop, but since closing up my shop I’ve decided to now offer all the pages here for free!
There are 8 pages in all and each one was designed for kids explore each other’s likes and dislikes and show a bit about themselves, while having fun and exploring their creativity too!
US, UK/Australian & Canadian Spelling/Wording Options
Since I originally made these for my Etsy shop, I made a separate package of pages with the different spellings/wordings in use for the United States, United Kingdom/Australia and Canada so teachers could use whichever set was befitting of their location. The download package includes separate files for each – just choose and use whichever you need!

This or That Activity
Kids always love ‘this or that’ games! They can go through the page themselves first and circle all the things they prefer, then use the tally chart at the side to ask their classmates which things they prefer and see which things come out on top at the end!
A great way to get kids talking and discussing as they get to know each other in the first days of school with a little math activity tied in!
Get-to-Know-You 20 Questions
What better activity is there for kids to get to know each other in a fun and engaging way than a game of 20 questions!? Use this game throughout the year for kids to get to know each other better and make some new friends outside their usual friend group!

Find Someone Who…. Activity
I made this game as a way for kids to find common threads between themselves and their peers. They’ll have fun finding all the similarities and differences that make them all unique. A great ice-breaker activity that gets classmates all talking to one another as they go around the classroom trying to find a name to put in each blank space.

Getting Acquainted – Ice Breaker Activity
This is a simple activity for kids to quiz each other on all their likes and dislikes and get to know a little bit about each other. This one is a great paper-saver too as you just need to print one page for every two students and cut down the middle!

Someone I Admire Page
This is a page I created for kids to do a simple little research project on someone they admire – whether someone famous or a family member this page guides young learners to think, research and write about any person they look up to.
Aspect of this page include:
- Name of their important person
- The time period in which they lived
- Where they were born and where they lived
- What they believed in
- Important events in their life
- What I most admire about their life
- What we can learn from their life
Self Portrait Page
Just a simple portrait page for kids to either do a portrait of themselves or a portrait of their classmate! Also makes a great page for kids to get creative and make a piece of art to use as a cubby/locker ID!
Family Portrait Page
Another simple art activity that can be hung up in the classroom for students to get to know each other’s families.
